FaceBook Places Launches in North America
Facebook has just announced the launch of Facebook Places. This is a new
product and we are going to outline how it can benefit your brand.
Facebook Places is a new product that allows users to share where they are, discover where their friends are, and discover interesting places nearby. Facebook Places also allows businesses to establish Places (physical store locations) on Facebook and then encourage patrons to share where they are by “checking in” to their Place. Check-in stories can generate powerful, organic impressions in friends’ News Feeds, extending your brand’s reach to many potential new customers.
You now have the option to create and/or claim your business’s Place(s) on Facebook. Your employees can claim your Place(s) on Facebook and manage Place pages just as you have done with your brand’s Facebook Page. Facebook are currently developing a solution for brands with multiple Places (store locations), that will allow the main brand Page to “adopt” all of their Places.
